1994 Suzuki RG125 Gamma
$5,000 + ORC
In March 1983 the Gamma family began with the Suzuki RG250, the new king of the road track. A couple of years later in 1985, Suzuki decided to downsize and create something smaller and with a little less power, and the RG125 Gamma was born. This was introduced to give a match to the Italian 125cc racers.
As is evidenced in its design and hardware, the RG125 gamma borrowed a lot from its bigger brothers. The single-cylinder RG125 was very narrow, making it impossible for the sides of the motorcycle to hit the tarmac when leaning. The bike is very designed for the smaller riders and gives a great race feeling.
For the first model years of the RG125, only cosmetic changes were made. All of the first models were sold with the option of having no lower fairing. The colour variants were Blue/White, Black, and Red/White.
In 1992, it was decided that the RG125 Gamma would get a total redesign from the inside out. The frame, suspension, and everything else was far better. The engine was upgraded to deliver higher horsepower at a higher RPM. The engine was essentially an RGV250 engine with a single cylinder instead of two and produced much higher power. The bike also handled much better and almost felt like a new machine.
This bike has been custom painted with a replica of the Pepsi Livery as seen on a limited edition of the 1989 RG125.
