2003 Aprilia RS250 Custom

Sorry, Not For Sale

The Aprilia RS250 was first manufactured in 1995, designed as a bigger brother to the recent RS125, and a proud member of the popular RS family of Aprilia bikes. It is a race oriented motorcycle, deriving much of its technology from the Aprilia racing experience. It is inspired by the RSW250 gran prix racer used in the MotoGP.

The bike is powered by a familiar engine, very similar to the one found on the Suzuki RGV250 VJ22. Aprilia modified this engine by revising the ECU, Aprilia design expansion chambers, barrels, and an airbox. The RS250 also uses the same 34mm Flat Side Mikuni Carburetors on the RGV.

The RS gauges feature a digital instrument panel that gives the rider a variety of information. It will display maximum and average speed readings in kilometers or miles per hour, an adjustable rev limiter warning zone indicator, water temperature in choice of scale, battery charge indicator, a clock, and a chronometer that can remember up to 40 lap times.

The bike featured one revision in its life. In 1998, Aprilia released an all new look for the RS250, to celebrate their victory in the 250cc GP racing class. The bike featured many changes, including, a revised overall bike styling with more modern senses, new Showa front forks and adjustable rear ride height, new style instrument panel with new functionality, and new rims and tyres.

The bike was in production through 1995 to 2005. It was very popular and still is today, considered a legendary bike in the 2-Stroke racer class, and a modern classic. The bike was revamped in the 2010s with a new Four Stroke engine and renamed to the RS4 250.
