The Suzuki SV1000 was introduced in the early 2000s as Suzuki’s large-capacity V-twin road bike, using a 996cc liquid-cooled 90-degree V-twin engine derived from Suzuki’s earlier performance V-twin development.

While the SV1000 was originally built as a road-going sports/naked machine, its strong torque delivery, compact V-twin layout, and proven Suzuki engineering made it a popular platform for custom performance builds. The engine was known for producing strong mid-range power rather than relying purely on high-rpm horsepower, giving it the kind of hard-hitting drive well suited to straight-line acceleration.

This bike takes that SV1000 platform in a very different direction. Reworked as a purpose-built NZDRA drag bike, this machine is a dedicated competition bike built for one purpose: maximum straight-line speed.

Purpose-built tech inspected NZDRA Suzuki V-twin drag bike running race number 775.
