The YZF-R7 name first appeared in 1999 as the legendary OW-02 — a purpose-built, limited-production superbike created for homologation in World Superbike racing. With exotic engineering and exclusivity, it earned a mythical status among enthusiasts.

Over two decades later, Yamaha has brought the R7 name back with a new mission: to deliver the thrill of the R-Series in a more accessible, real-world package. The 2025 YZF-R7 blends sharp supersport styling with the proven 689cc CP2 engine, renowned for its torque-rich, characterful delivery. Lightweight, agile, and confidence-inspiring, the modern R7 isn’t a track-only exotic — it’s a bike built to bring the R-series spirit to everyday riders, from backroads to track days.

This bike is LAMS approved.
